Christine, based in the United States, shares her travel journey, along with encouragement to embrace the little moments and spontaneity. Check it out below!
What inspired you to travel?
I learned about studying abroad when I was younger, and it opened up this option of travel for me that I’d never considered. After doing a study abroad program, I just kept trying to find ways to travel and figured out that I didn’t need a specific program or a lot of money to experience the world. I just have a curiosity to know what’s out there, see all the things, and mostly try all the delicious foods 😋.
What did you learn about love through travel?
I’ve learned through the bigness of adventure, that love is in the little things. Grand events are lovely, but for me, it's the quiet moment overlooking a new city with your best friend, getting a tip about the best restaurants from a fellow tourist on the bus, or appreciating a moment of connection during a dance with a stranger. All the little moments add up to a good time and the little things add up to love.
What is a travel tip you would share with others?
Travel guides, tours, and booked excursions can be very fun, helpful and informative, but don’t be afraid to just wander around and be spontaneous. Be smart and stay safe, but the best part of your trip might be the thing you didn't plan on doing.
Where are you headed next?
My next trip isn't planned just yet, but I'm hoping to make it to South Korea or Japan. I'm excited to visit more Asian countries because I haven't explored that corner of the world as much yet.
